Youne Thiri Thwe @Steven, is a Burmese Environmental and Education Leadership, currently pursuing Environmental Management (Hons) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Steven is dedicated to fostering Environmental Education in Myanmar. As the Head of the Environment and Sustainability Centre of SUM, Steven plays a pivotal role in developing dynamic and student-centered curricula for intensive Environmental Sustainability Studies Courses, empowering a climate-literate generation of youth across Myanmar with a comprehensive understanding of environmental issues.

Serving as the President of the American Center iNature Environmental Club, Steven have been recognized for their commitment and nominated by the U.S. Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar, for the YSEALI Academic Fellowship 2022 on Environmental Issues at the University of Montana, USA.

Moreover, Steven leads as the Senior Education Consultant at Empower Education ASIA, a trusted education consultancy guiding Myanmar students to quality study opportunities across Asia—especially Malaysia—and empowering them to build brighter futures.
